On Sustainability, Sustainable Finance, and Cost of Capital

Dr. Mohieldin took part in the Durham Islamic Finance Summer School (DIFSS 2026), hosted by Durham University Business School and organized by Professor Mehmet Asutay.

He presented reflections on Sustainable Development Goals performance among Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, and discussed means of implementation in developing economies and emerging markets — with particular emphasis on financing and the cost of capital. Participants engaged with substantive comments and questions following the session.
